Needful Things – Cancun Bookstore & More

Also featuring works by Anita Brown.

Anita Brown, co-author of the Cancun User’s Guide, has been getting around Cancun by foot on her daily chores since moving here in 1983. After years of walking the byways of Cancun, Anita started photographing the kalaidoscope of daily life.

“I like to get in at eye level and observe the details,” says Anita. For so many years the undeniably beautiful beach and tourist scenes are what the world knows about Cancun. Anita thinks the reality of the ‘orgullosamente cancunenses’–proud citizens of Cancun–are also worth seeing.

Signed, framed and matted prints, and postal cards of her photographs are on sale at Needful Things , 67 Av Coba, across from the Chrysler dealership in downtown Cancun, on the way to Mercado 28 and wal-Mart. The proprietor, Nancy Wilson, offers unique items and new and used books at her newly enlarged shop. Telephone: 884-2697.

Keep an eye on her often-updated portfolio at . A photo diary will be coming up soon, too, at the same URL.
