Delphinus Trek Program-A Unique, Underwater Dolphin Experience

chica-trek

The new Delphinus Trek program gives you the opportunity to experience dolphins in their most natural state…..swimming underwater. Normal swim with dolphin programs allow you one-on-one interaction with dolphins while they are partially out of the water. It’s truly an amazing experience in itself, but Delphinus has now taken it one step further.

Participants in the Delphinus Trek program are fully submerged in water while dolphins swim around them. In order to breathe underwater, a large helmet-like contraption is worn by each guest. (It reminds me of the helmet on a space suit.) This new program offers everyone, from non-swimmers to experienced divers, a unique look at dolphins.

The Cancun Blog offers great rates on all Delphinus programs in Cancun and the Riviera Maya. To make a reservation for Delphinus Trek, or any of Delphinus’ dolphin programs, please contact Susan at susan@cancunblog.info.

Delphinus Trek – A New Way to Swim With Dolphins
Written by Alejandro Acosta

The Delphinus Trek swim with dolphins program features a unique experience in the global market of dolphins and human recreational activities. The Mexican Enterprise Delphinus Xelha presents this novel attraction as the world’s only program of this kind. Unlike the usual swim with dolphins programs, Delphinus Trek offers a new way to interact with these animals through a dive device known as “trek”. It is very easy to use and doesn’t require any experience to handle it. For a more intimate perspective, the participants are immersed with the dolphins in the diaphanous water of the cove of Xelha, in the Mexican Caribbean. 16.40 feet under water, the visitors can carefully observe the impressive movements and the dynamics of the dolphins.

If being close and touching dolphins seems to you as a unique moment, you can imagine how amazing it can be to experience this adventure just like a diver underwater, in the most secure way possible.

During the Delphinus Trek you will submerge into the dolphins’ world, observing them from a completely different point of view. Experience the intensity of their grace and muscular power and watch how they dive into the water as only a few people have witnessed it.

Without any doubt, the novel Delphinus Trek program will fill your expectations of a great experience, first with the dolphins and second with the visit of Xelha, a unique place where the sea and the sky meet each other.

Get out and VOTE!

As you may have guessed, this post has absolutely nothing to do with Cancun. I simply wish to remind all of our American readers, regardless of which candidate/party you support, to get out and VOTE on Tuesday, November 4th!

Since I am here in Cancun, I voted by absentee ballot several weeks ago. Even though I filled out my ballot alone at the U.S. Consular office, it was still exciting. Unlike previous years, this time I felt like I was part of something very special when I cast my vote. It’s definitely a historical election and probably the most important one any of us will experience in our lifetime. Do your part and get out and VOTE!

Thanks for tolerating my off-topic post. We will now return to our regularly scheduled broadcast….. :-)
